Challenges, Action & Result
The coastal capital city of Helsinki continues to face challenges relating to rising sea-level, flooding and stormwater management.
To filter out pollutants in the city's water reserves, the city has implemented a 3-phase technical system with the water first going through a defensive basing, then through a coarse filter, and finally through a fine filter.
This action has resulted in a more green, resilient and livable city for the Finns and all citizens of Helsinki.
